David and Goliath

In some cases, losing by an acceptable margin is actually a win and I think that applies to the Canadian rugby team's loss to New Zealand. Against the mythic giants of international rugby for Canada to be within shooting range at the half, lose by about 50 points and have made the Kiwi's question their skills ("'We've got a lot to work on,' All Blacks captain Reuben Thorne said.") is a win.

In September, Canada will venture to the World Cup with pool games against Wales, Japan, Fiji and Australia. Building upon this type of performance may lead to a surprisingly positive result for a young and promising team.
